Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Network Engineer III with deep expertise in Fortinet technologies to support and enhance a large scale, multi site network environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of an enterprise network spanning hundreds of firewalls, switches, and access points. The engineer will lead complex troubleshooting efforts, drive infrastructure improvements, and serve as a key technical resource for Fortinet platforms. You will contribute to major network initiatives, support modernization efforts, and help maintain operational maturity across the organization. This position requires strong hands on experience, sound judgment, and the ability to operate confidently in a high volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead advanced troubleshooting and resolution of Tier 3 network incidents across LAN, WAN, SD WAN, wireless, and firewall technologies
• Administer and support Fortinet platforms including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiManager in a large scale environment
• Implement and maintain enterprise network standards, configuration templates, and security best practices
• Support SD WAN design, circuit failover strategies, and performance optimization across multi site connectivity
• Develop and maintain network documentation including diagrams, standards, and operational procedures
• Partner with internal teams and service providers to resolve complex carrier and connectivity issues
• Participate in change control processes, maintenance windows, and risk assessments to ensure stable execution
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands on experience with Fortinet technologies including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, and FortiManager
• Strong background in enterprise networking including routing, switching, VLAN design, TCP IP, and wireless architecture
• Experience supporting large scale environments with hundreds of firewalls, switches, and access points
• Proficiency in firewall policy design, segmentation, VPN technologies, and security best practices
• Experience with SD WAN, carrier troubleshooting, and multi site network operations
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast paced environment and communicate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and willingness to collaborate with others
