Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, trend-fluent, and performance-driven Video Editor, Paid Social to join our core Growth vertical under a part-time or full-time (20–40 hours/week) remote contract layout open within the United States. In this hands-on direct-response post-production seat, you will hold absolute creative ownership over transforming raw footage, influencer collaborations, and creator clips into conversion-optimized ads that stop the scroll on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated data transcription loops, entry-level website layout styling choices, or administrative documentation logging, you will operate an active quantitative ad variation creation, asset iteration testing, and short-form user behavioral telemetry laboratory. You will not be handed static storyboards; you will formulate your own angles, write hook mechanics, and utilize native-to-feed tactics to drive acquisition. This position requires a senior-level visual editor who guides digital timelines fluidly natively using Video Editor, Short Form (Reels/TikTok), and Motion Graphics primitives, translates performance data metrics into creative edits at blistering speeds, and possesses real direct-response instincts.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct-Response Pipeline Governance: Sculpt, cut, and optimize raw captures and user-generated clips into ad-ready video variants for Meta, TikTok, X, and YouTube networks natively utilizing Video Editor practices.
• Scroll-Stopping Hook Instrumentation: Design, sequence, and deploy ultra-tight visual pacing structures built specifically to capture consumer attention, maximize early hold rates, and push users toward high-intent conversion actions.
• Creative Variant Multiplication: Mass-produce high volumes of iterative video variants and pattern interrupts to feed our automated multi-channel paid testing engines.
• Native Feed Treatment Scaffolding: Inject high-impact, platform-native design assets—including dynamic typographical captions, on-screen text callouts, sound design layers, and sleek Motion Graphics elements into deliverables.
• Multi-Placement Aspect Optimization: Adapt, frame, and export complex timelines across varying placement boundaries (including 9:16 vertical, 1:1 square, and 4:5 compositions) tailored perfectly for Reels, Stories, and Feeds.
• Performance Signal Triage: Analyze qualitative and quantitative campaign data inputs (such as click-through rates, hook rates, and average watch times) to iteratively re-cut underperforming media and double down on winning hooks.
• Asset Organization & Asset Speed: Maintain a clean, organized, and lightning-fast turnaround schedule to ensure our distributed growth teams are continuously supplied with fresh testing variants.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 4+ years of proven, successful professional post-production history operating as a Senior Video Editor, Paid Social Creator, Performance Creative Developer, Motion Designer, or closely matching tech-driven multimedia capacity.
• Expert Creative Stack Command: Absolute master-level operational fluency inside Adobe Premiere Pro , alongside practical engineering agility utilizing After Effects for custom animations and CapCut for hyper-fast assemblies.
• A prominent online portfolio showcasing a verified track record of short-form, high-performance direct-response video ads deployed within live Meta or TikTok marketing campaigns.
• Deep structural understanding of user holding psychology, direct-response advertising rules, narrative hook styles, and the specific variables that cause an asset to win or lose conversion value.
• Outstanding verbal and visual presentation communication strengths in English, with an established history translating complex product concepts into engaging, culture-aware human stories.
• Contract Terms & Conditions: Position operates under a temporary contract structure paying $70–$90 per hour , running at a fluid workload ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week depending on real-time campaign performance needs.
• Location Context: Position operates under remote guidelines open exclusively to qualified performance video authorities residing permanently within and authorized to work legally inside the United States (with office hubs available in New York City or Los Angeles) .

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Prior platform or growth agency experience engineering customer-acquisition loops specifically for high-volume B2C consumer subscription apps, direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, or e-commerce operations .
• Comfort analyzing analytical ad matrices, cohort data sets, and growth metrics to self-direct next-generation asset variations independently without a product manager layer.
• Familiarity folding generative AI tools into a creative editing pipeline to accelerate media upscaling, script generation, or asset creation speeds.
