Duties include the operation of a wide variety of equipment including forklifts, stake trucks, van, pallet jack, walkie stacker and box type trucks. Requirements include pick-up, delivery and moving large diverse loads within the shipyard and South Yard Assembly Building with a primary focus on the South Yard Assembly Building, at the sub base and on public highways.
Job also requires hand sorting, material scanning to receive and dispatch material deliveries, delivering carriable and/or palletized material from various warehouses and offices, working in unheated environments, Sensitive Material Knowledge, procedural compliance and the ability to qualify for a TLD (J-training provided). Job requires a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class B or equivalent. Air brake endorsement required. A bus and/or hazmat endorsement to the individuals CDL would be desirable.
