What you’ll do Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby, Java, and Scala Build, develop, test and deploy software infrastructure Design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale Build new systems to securely store and reliably modify production systems Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. Minimum requirements Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field plus 2 years of experience in software development. Position also requires the following: 2 years of experience working with Ruby, Java, Scala, or Go 2 years of experience implementing industry standard design patterns 2 years of experience building full-stack or backend applications at scale 2 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and distributed systems at scale 2 years of experience writing unit tests and performing manual testing of complex software changes Salary: $190,400 - $285,600/yr. This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary. 40 hrs/week 50% Telecommuting Permitted. Multiple Positions Available.
