Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Creative Strategist for our client who owns one of the fastest growing DTC footwear brands in the US, shipping up to 1,000 orders per day and scaling 2.5x this year . You will sit at the very front of our creative machine: a weekly sprint where new scripts are written from fresh customer research, produced by our in-house editing team, launched in one weekly batch, and read out in a performance review days later. Your scripts go live within the week and you see the data the week after. The feedback loop is brutal and fast, and your output is measured, every week: how many winners you produced. You will be judged on one sentence: a growing stream of new ads every week, with at least 1 in 4 becoming a profitable winner as spend scales .

Responsibilities

1. Customer research (where 80% of the writing happens)

  • Own the research engine: review mining, post-purchase surveys, support conversations, social listening, competitor ad libraries.
  • Maintain the living avatar: pain points, objections, buying triggers, awareness levels - refreshed weekly, not once at onboarding.
  • Turn research into testable hypotheses: every script traces back to a real customer insight.

2. Scripts & briefs (you write - you do not only brief)

  • Write the weekly batch of new ad scripts: hooks, angles, story structures, offer framing - currently 20 new scripts per week , each produced for two ad networks, so 40+ new ads live every week , scaling toward 80 .
  • Deliver editor-ready briefs: our in-house editing team (Philippines-based) turns your scripts into finished ads within the same week.
  • Own quality on the way out: review cuts, give sharp feedback, protect the standard.

3. The weekly creative sprint

  • Run your side of a fixed weekly cadence: research and writing at the start, production mid-week, QC, one batch launch, and a weekly performance review per script, angle and editor.
  • Work daily with the founder (creative direction), our Head of Growth (performance data and cadence), the senior editor, and our media buyers.

4. The performance loop

  • Read the weekly results: win rate per angle, hook rates, hold rates, CPA and ROAS per creative and per channel.
  • Double down on winning patterns, kill losing angles fast, and feed every learning back into next week's batch.
  • Target: win rate of 25%+ , where a winner is a hard, data-defined threshold (profitable ROAS at meaningful test spend) - not an opinion.

Requirements

  • 5+ years direct response creative strategy for DTC eCommerce brands - performance ads that sold products, not brand campaigns.
  • You write yourself. Scripts, hooks, and copy came from your keyboard - not only from people you briefed. This is a writing-heavy role.
  • Proven winners with receipts: ads you personally conceived and wrote that scaled to six or seven figures in spend . You know the numbers by heart.
  • Meta required , plus experience or strong interest in a second performance channel (native, AppLovin or similar networks are a big plus - we run one most brands do not).
  • High-volume testing experience: you have operated in a system shipping 15+ new ads per week , and you know how to feed one without the quality collapsing.
  • Category fit strongly preferred: health, wellness, footwear, apparel, or other considered purchases sold to a 40+ US audience . You know how to write for skeptical buyers.
  • Comfortable in a fast, hands-on, AI-driven environment: you use AI tools ( ChatGPT, Claude or similar ) daily to accelerate research and iteration - while the judgment and the voice stay yours.
  • Excellent written English. The words are the product of this role.

Your KPI:

  • Output: new scripts delivered per week, on time, every week
  • Win rate: % of new ads that hit the winner threshold (target 25%+)
  • Scale: spend concentrated on your winners while channel ROAS targets hold
  • Velocity: new ads live per week (40+ scaling to 80)

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Work From Home
  • Flexible Hours
