Seasonal Farm Worker

Description: Seasonal position supporting greenhouse management, planting, weeding, harvesting, irrigation, cultivation, composting, cover cropping, distribution, and general farm operations in an outdoor agricultural setting.

Schedule: Temporary seasonal position, approximately 3 months (Summer)

Key duties include:

• Preparing soil, planting seeds, and transplanting seedlings

• Weeding, watering, and cultivating crops

• Harvesting produce and preparing it for distribution

• Assisting members on pickup days and answering questions

• Supporting farm events and daily operations

• Cleaning and maintaining farm buildings, equipment, and trucks

• Keeping the Farm Manager informed of progress and issues

• Following schedules and safety procedures, and using required protective equipment

Key requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 1+ year farming/grower experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license required

• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team

• Interest in sustainable agriculture and CSA systems

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Key physical requirements include:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and bending

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Ability to operate farm tools and equipment
