Within Surgical Services, the RN Director, Perioperative Services will steward the full perioperative continuum in a community-owned, not-for-profit health system with strong local governance and mission-driven culture. The RN Director, Perioperative Services will lead at a primary acute care hospital serving as a regional access point with broad service lines for a rural market, including emergency, surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, oncology, women’s health, and imaging, collaborating within an integrated provider network with employed physicians and advanced practice providers across multiple specialties. As a key regional employer with long-standing community presence and strong workforce stability, this healthcare organization prioritizes an ongoing emphasis on quality improvement and expanding specialty care access within the region.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the RN Director, Perioperative Services will oversee strategy, AORN-aligned practice, quality, capacity, regulatory readiness, and fiscal stewardship as well advancing staffing, talent development, and just culture for a friendly, diverse team of nurses, surgical technologists, anesthesia partners, and sterile processing professionals. The RN Director, Perioperative Services will also strengthen surgeon relationships, optimize block time and throughput, and elevate outcomes through evidence-based pathways and real-time analytics.
