Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Art Teacher to teach across both primary and secondary levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education, experience with the British curriculum, and the ability to engage students in a variety of artistic mediums and techniques. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the school’s rich arts program and to help shape the creative development of students from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging art lessons for primary and secondary students in line with the British curriculum.
Inspire creativity and technical skills across a range of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
Prepare students for IGCSE and A-Level Art qualifications (if applicable).
Organize and oversee art exhibitions, displays, and extracurricular art activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the broader curriculum.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and achievements.
Qualifications & Requirements
PGCE, QTS, US State Teaching License, or equivalent valid teaching certification is required.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a K12 international school setting (preferred).
Experience with the British curriculum (IGCSE/A-Level).
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A commitment to fostering a student-centered, inquiry-based learning environment.
Working Conditions & Benefits
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
