job summary:
We're seeking a Packaging Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a large manufacturer in Suffolk, VA. The ideal candidate will have experiene in the food industry, however anyone with at least 2 years of experience as a Packaging Engineer should apply. This is a direct-hire role with room for growth. Should have experience with Packaging Design projects from conception to completion including designing packaging, trial sampling, vendor/supplier approvals, materials testing, etc.

responsibilities:

• Packaging projects in the food industry

• Works with the facilities to generate packaging for existing or new projects by evaluating, researching, and development for multiple projects at one time

• Focus on continuous improvement, quality, growth initiatives, cost-reduction, etc.

• This position is onsite daily, based in Suffolk, VA w/travel of up to 2 trips per month to sites in TN, NE, IL.
