Under the general direction of the Administrator II for the Financial Performance Unit, the incumbent uses the highest level of professional and technical skills to perform the most complex and specialized assignments related to financial performance analysis including analyzing and interpreting hours, cost, revenue, and performance metrics. The  incumbent works as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned divisions to assist with developing key performance measures based on Franchise Tax Board (FTB)’s products and services. The incumbent will work with process owners, staff, and management throughout the department to gather, analyze, and project financial performance data. The incumbent represents the department on various enterprise projects and departmental teams as SME on financial oversight. The incumbent leads the efforts in the department to ensure that the hours, cost and performance information identified in the divisions and departmental areas are compatible and properly linked to FTB’s Reporting and Program Structure to provide an enterprise-wide perspective.

Position may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.

Working Conditions

  • This position is eligible for limited remote working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework. This is subject to change.

  • Knowledge of the interrelationships between Franchise Tax Board Divisions and their business processes and program activities
