Position Summary

The Infusion Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a vital role in supporting safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care within Mountain View Headache and Spine Institute. This position provides direct clinical support to licensed medical staff and contributes to a positive patient experience before, during, and after infusion treatments.

The Infusion EMT is responsible for hands‑on patient care, monitoring patient status, maintaining clinical areas, and adhering to all medical, safety, and regulatory standards. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Assist patients with preparation for infusion therapy, including room setup and positioning
• Initiate and maintain IV access within EMT scope and clinic protocols
• Obtain, monitor, and document vital signs before, during, and after treatment
• Observe patients for adverse reactions and report concerns to licensed staff
• Provide basic patient care, comfort, and reassurance throughout treatment
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Respond to medical emergencies per EMT training and clinic protocols
• Maintain infection control standards, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification in good standing
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• Prior clinical, outpatient, or infusion‑related experience preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and organized in a fast‑paced clinical environment
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and assist patients as required 

Preferred Qualifications  

• Prior clinical, outpatient, or infusion‑related experience preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and organized in a fast‑paced clinical environment 

Physical and Work Requirements  

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and assist patients as required
• Work will be in a pain clinic
