Salary: $66,000 - 106,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or statistics preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience as a Cloud Architect
• Extensive understanding of cloud computing principles, services, and architectures from major providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Proven experience in designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions
• Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud environments
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in DevOps practices and CI/CD tools
• Strong project management capabilities to lead cloud initiatives
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing stakeholders
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
• Willingness to travel and possess a valid Illinois drivers license as required by specific positions
• Ability to perform physical activities, including lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling items weighing up to 50lbs

• Develop comprehensive cloud strategies that align with organizational objectives, selecting suitable cloud service models and deployment strategies
• Design secure cloud architectures by implementing best practices to safeguard data and systems
• Establish a governance framework for cloud architecture, setting policies and standards, and ensuring adherence during the architectural review process
• Collaborate with IT security to ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations regarding cloud solutions
• Lead project planning and design stages, translating business needs into effective technical cloud solutions
• Conduct regular assessments of deployed cloud services, evaluating their performance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business goals, recommending optimizations as needed
• Create and maintain disaster recovery plans for cloud systems, ensuring business continuity through strategies like data backup and failover processes
• Provide consultancy on cloud computing strategies and challenges
• Undertake other responsibilities as assigned
