Aircraft Maintenance Technician (A&P Licensed) Traveling Line Maintenance

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Multiple U.S. Locations (Travel-Based Position)

Primary Locations: Miami, FL | Houston, TX | Louisville, KY | Baltimore, MD | San Antonio, TX | Memphis, TN | Kansas City, MO

Schedule: 14 Days On / 14 Days Off Rotation

Shift: 12-Hour Shifts (Day & Night Rotations)

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (A&P Licensed) to support line maintenance operations on commercial cargo aircraft throughout multiple U.S. locations. This position offers a unique rotational schedule of 14 days on / 14 days off , providing an excellent work-life balance while allowing technicians to work on industry-leading aircraft fleets.

The successful candidate will perform scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and airworthiness releases while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and company maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities Aircraft Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance on commercial aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems and identify root causes of mechanical and electrical discrepancies.
  • Inspect, test, repair, replace, and service aircraft systems and components.
  • Perform maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations, approved maintenance manuals, and company procedures.
  • Execute aircraft servicing activities including fluid replenishment, component replacement, and operational checks.
  • Perform airworthiness releases within approved authorization limits.
  • Ensure aircraft are maintained in a safe and airworthy condition prior to return to service.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Accurately complete maintenance records, logbook entries, work orders, and inspection documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented and traceable.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, maintenance policies, and regulatory requirements.
Operational Support
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Operations, and other maintenance personnel.
  • Respond to scheduled maintenance events as well as Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) situations when required.
  • Support operational deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Communicate maintenance status updates effectively to internal stakeholders.
Safety & Quality
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Utilize proper tools, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail at all times.
Aircraft Types Supported

Technicians may be assigned to support maintenance activities on commercial cargo aircraft including:

  • Boeing 777
  • Boeing 767
  • Boeing 747

Experience on wide-body aircraft is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications Licensing
  • Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
Experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of commercial or regional aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Hands-on experience performing aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and servicing.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and maintenance documentation requirements.
  • Experience working in a line maintenance environment is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM)
    • Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC)
    • Wiring Diagrams
    • Engineering Orders
    • Service Bulletins
    • Technical Publications
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to safely use maintenance tools, equipment, and test instruments.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with any of the following will be highly preferred:

  • Experience on Boeing 777 aircraft.
  • Experience on Boeing 767 aircraft.
  • Experience on Boeing 747 aircraft.
  • Cargo aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Wide-body aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Aircraft line maintenance experience.
  • AOG maintenance experience.
  • Previous experience supporting commercial airline or cargo carrier operations.
  • Military aviation maintenance experience combined with an FAA A&P License.
Schedule & Work Environment Rotation Schedule
  • 14 Days On / 14 Days Off
  • 12-Hour Shifts
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Travel Requirements
  • Extensive travel required.
  • Fly-In / Fly-Out (FIFO) schedule.
  • Travel and lodging fully provided by the employer.
  • Must be willing to work at various operational locations throughout the United States.
Work Conditions
  • Airport and aircraft ramp environments.
  • Indoor and outdoor work conditions.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as operationally required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to work from ladders, maintenance stands, and elevated platforms.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces when required.
  • Ability to perform duties in a physically demanding aviation maintenance environment.
