In this important role, you will manage a team of activity professionals, plan, and conduct fun and exciting activities for our residents.  Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents' well-being and has a creative personality and positive attitude.

Position Type:  Full-Time, benefits eligible position

Location: 1900 Stoney Point Road SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404

Activities Director Responsibilities:

• Create and schedule Activities calendar for residents and administer these activities.
• Promote physical exercise, social interaction, emotional support and involvement.
• Prepare monthly newsletter for residents and family members.
• Oversee Activities Assistant in Memory Care.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Activities Director Qualifications:

• One year of Activities experience.
• Certified as an activity's director through Iowa Healthcare Association or willing to get certification.
• Is compassionate, motivated, and a self-starter.
• Desire to work with the elderly in an assisted living setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
• Functional knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Ability to respect confidentiality of resident information.
• Ability to manage diverse individuals and multiple priorities at once.
